England is one of the great driving nations. The English love their cars and for country that has quite a bit of rainfall the convertible is extremely popular. The highway system is quite well maintained, although the speed limits come nowhere near countries like Germany. There can be many hidden costs, one that gets people all the time is the cost of the fuel when returning the car, this can be extremely high. Also sometimes there is a fee for excess kilometres, definitely check for this.

When driving on English roads, care is needed as a lot of freight is hauled on the road system. This is due to an under investment in the English rail system. So make sure you have good travel insurance just in case
